COMPLETED – This Class is Full – Attention Novices and Intermediate Photographers

The local CNPA Chapter has arranged dates with Mary Pressor Roberts for a Spring workshop designed to give photographers at all levels an opportunity to visit and photograph a local venue from a different perspective. All levels of photographers are welcome to participate and can benefit from this workshop, but Novices and Intermediate level photographers will particularly benefit and are encouraged to attend. CNPA has invited CCHI members to participate at the same low cost as being offered to CNPA members.
The workshop will be composed of three parts.
First, there will be a one hour Zoom session reviewing some of Mary’s photographs and her approach to creating interesting images from the local surroundings. The date for the first session will be Tuesday March 12th (the time TBD).
The second session (a 2 ½ hour session with 10 participants) will be a field workshop where you will be able to work along with Mary and practice photographing from different perspectives. The date will be Thursday March 14th with a back-up plan for Friday March 15th in case of bad weather. (The location and time TBD but will be close to Bluffton and Hilton Head Island)
Part three will be a Zoom critique of some 2 mages which you will submit from your field session to be critiqued by Mary. This is scheduled for Tuesday March 19th. (Time TBD)
The workshop is limited to 20 participants on a first come first serve basis. There will be two of the 2-1/2 hour sessions in order to accommodate all 20 participants. Specific details regarding times and field location will be announced as soon as possible.
The cost is $70 for CNPA and/or CCHHI members and $85.00 for all others not associated with either club. The deadline for registering is January 15th. There can be no refunds after that date. Checks should be made out to CNPA, place “Mary Roberts” in the memo line and mail the checks to Al Heacox, 24 Anchor Cove Court, Bluffton, SC 29910. Al will hold all checks until the deadline in case CNPA is forced to cancel the workshop due to lack of interest.
If you have questions, you may email Al at aeheacox@yahoo.com. If you are planning to attend, you should also email Al so that he can keep you up to date via email of any changes. To learn more about Mary, go to her website at (https://www.themaryphotographer.com)
