2021 Cypress Garden & Charles Towne Landing -The centerpiece of the garden is the 80 acres blackwater bald cypress/tupelo swamp, surrounded with both boat and foot trails. Charles Towne Landing is where a group of English settlers landed in 1670 and established what would become the birthplace of the Carolina colony along with beautiful oaks trees also can step aboard and tour the Adventure, Charleston’s only 17th-century replica sailing ship.

2021 Old Sheldon Church -Tomotley Plantation. The Dogwoods were in Bloom to grace this Historic ruin with their cream colored blossoms. The Church has been surrounded by a wrought iron fence to prevent vandalism. We also visited Tomotley Plantation with it’s entrance-way lined with marvelous Live Oaks. We brought our lunch and ate Frampton Plantation which was a great day!

2021 Night Stars at Hilton Head Plantation Pine Island Boardwalk in Dolphin Head Park – Great photos of night sunset or stars.

2021 Savannah River Street at Sunrise and Bonaventure Cemetery River Street for a 7:10 sunrise. The street lights and those on the adjacent buildings make for good images at this hour with no traffic. Lights on the adjacent tour boats and the convention center across the river are also photogenic at sunrise. From there went to Bonaventure Cemetery to capture the headstones and monuments in the early morning.

2021 Jekyll Island. CCHHI members enjoyed an overnight trip to St. Simon/Jekyll Island to capture beach driftwood scenery and landscapes.
